Set Design: Creating faux stone with construction foam!

Construction foam is a great underlying structure for creating faux brick or stone. I really enjoy the look of it especially for developing an ‘old world’ appearance.  Once cut, the edges can be manipulated with a razor blade to look like years of weathering.

I use this foam and cement it to the wall with this adhesive.

In the video you can see how versatile this product really is. After this step I then cover the foam with sheet rock mud, prime the area and then start the faux paint finish.

Keep creating and like always, drop me line if you have any questions!
